Limagrain Ingredients at FIE 2025: driving plant-based and responsible innovation

Vegesense: the new range of textured plant-based proteins.

European consumers are increasingly turning to plant-based alternatives, and Limagrain Ingredients is leading the way with Vegesense, a cutting-edge range of textured vegetable proteins tailored for vegetarian, vegan, and hybrid culinary creations.

The Vegesense line features eight distinct products available in flakes, granules, and chunks. Crafted from pulses and/or cereals, these ingredients deliver exceptional nutritional value and superior taste and texture, making them ideal for meat substitutes, plant-based dishes, and hybrid recipes.

Lifywheat flakes: wheat flakes that combine nutrition and pleasure

 

Limagrain Ingredients is launching an innovation that meets consumers' growing expectations in terms of naturalness and nutrition: LifyWheat, wheat flakes rich in fibre, with twice the fibre content of traditional oat flakes.

Thanks to their unique composition, LifyWheat wheat flakes can be used to enrich food products with fibre, particularly resistant starch. Due to its ability to resist digestion, resistant starch helps regulate blood sugar levels after meals. Once it reaches the colon, resistant starch feeds the gut microbiota and promotes the production of metabolites with beneficial health effects. It thus helps to strengthen intestinal immunity and is extremely well tolerated by the digestive system.

With more than 25% of fibre, LifyWheat flakes enable manufacturers to easily achieve “source of fibre” or “high in fibre” claims, while improving the Nutri-Score of their recipes.

Simply labelled as “wheat flakes”, they fully meet consumers' clean label expectations.

Easy to incorporate into recipes for muesli, cereal bars, bread or biscuits, LifyWheat flakes offer a natural solution for enriching products without compromising on taste or texture. Combined with LifyWheat flour, they can be used to formulate products that are higher in fibre, while remaining highly versatile.
